Gabby DiRusso is a member of the Smyrna FFA Chapter in Delaware, and through her involvement in FFA, she learned about the Borlaug-Ruan international internship offered by The World Food Prize Foundation. In 2015, Gabby was selected for an eight-week internship in Costa Rica, where she worked on an integrated livestock farm and researched different crossbreeds of dairy cattle.
