Paul begins his defense of the gospel and his apostleship by firmly stating that his desire is to please God and not men. The testimony of his life reveals a man who, in his former life, terrorized Christians; now, he has been saved by the grace of God and lives to share that grace with others. The end result of Paul's desire to please God is the glory of God as others see God's grace at work in Paul.
