Abraham was saved before becoming a Jew and before the Law was given

• Justification comes from grace/ belief, not following the law

• Purpose of the law, Why was the law given if not for salvation?

• The law is perfect and shows us our transgression against God

• The Law is God’s answer to pride

• The law was given to keep Jews separate from the world, until the Messiah

• The Law was never given to Gentiles

• The Law reveals sin

• The Law kept Israel separate until the seed promised Messiah came with the Holy Spirit

• The Law prophetically describes the Messiah

• The Law can help give guides for sanctification

• By faith we are children of God: Meaning our identity comes from God and not from our flesh.

• By adoption we share in King Jesus’ inheritance of eternal life

• We are lead by the Holy Spirit in Spiritual adulthood and not a slave to the law
