Galatians Lesson 5 - Repost

Listen Later

Galatians 4:8 - 4:31

In this lesson, Paul wraps up his big theological arguments on why the Mosaic Law is not necessary for being justified in Christ.

He does this by making a personal appeal to the Galatians, pointing out that they have changed in their warmth and kindness since subscribing to the Judaizers distortion of the Gospel, and he then concludes his arguments by using the Old Testament story of Hagar and Ishmael and Sarah and Isaac as an allegory for the relationship between the Old Covenant and the New Covenant.
