Recap: Vegas was hoping to rinse the bad taste of the last two games out of their mouth and get the series back on serve with a Game 4 win in Minnesota. They scored first for the first time since Game 1 with a power play tally from Shea Theodore. Jack Eichel also recorded his first point of the series on the goal. Minnesota answered back with a 4th line forechecking goal by Marco Rossi.
In the 2nd, the Golden Knights held the puck in the Minnesota zone for tons of time but weren’t able to find any holes in the Wild defense. Meanwhile, Marcus Foligno scored for the third straight game of the series on a rebound directly in front of the VGK goal.
A crazy 3rd period saw the Golden Knights earn a 4-minute power play that they ultimately cashed in on with a Nic Roy goal. Then, a scrum between Tomas Hertl and Ryan Hartman off to the side of the net became a backboard for Mark Stone. He shot the puck into them and it deflected right into the goal. Minnesota tied it up moments later on a wraparound goal from Jared Spurgeon.
A back and forth overtime ends with Ivan Barbashev finding a loose puck in front of the goal and shoveling it home to win the game.
The Golden Knights win Game 4 in overtime by the score of 4-3. Game 5 is scheduled for Tuesday. Puck drop time is expected to be announced later tonight. (Recap by Ken)
Analysis: The Golden Knights got the better start they were hoping for by applying some early pressure, drawing a penalty, and cashing in on it. Some of the same problems began to crop up afterwards, though, including turning the puck over to the MIN 4th line. Then, the issue we were worried about coming in made an appearance as Foligno won a jump ball and then a loose puck directly in front. Vegas came out hot int he 3rd period and made their own bounces for the first time in the series. Two massive goals by Tomas Hertl and Ivan Barbashev have the Vegas Golden Knights alive and well in the postseason once again. (Recap by Ken)

This game has turned to chaos. Hill with a massive save on the Trenin breakaway, narrowly avoiding a repeat of the Kaprizov one in Game 2.

The Golden Knights are going to need to force the Wild to do something they haven't done all year, blow a game with a lead to start the 3rd period.
Minnesota are 31-0-0 carrying a lead into the 3rd. The only team in the NHL with a perfect record.

Finally, VGK win on a loose puck, it's Nic Roy who finds it and sticks it into the open net. VGK have tied it! 2-2
— SinBin.vegas (@SinBinVegas) April 26, 2025
All VGK's offense still coming off Theodore's stick. Crucial gloved puck there as Roy was in great position to score almost the exact same goal as Foligno just scored.
