  • Chowing Down On Some (More) Low Cost Gaming
Join the GameCentric Radio Crew as we review our weekend at RamenCon! We'll discuss panels, gaming, anime, and all the other cool stuff we find along the way. We'll also be sharing some delicious suggestions for cheap (or free!) gaming options. If you're a gamer on a budget (or just like not spending a lot of extra cash) we'll have a tasty serving to spend your resources on.

This is just one portion of our RamenCon coverage, as we'll also feature write-ups on our Tumblr at http://gamecentricradio.tumblr.com/ and photos on our Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/GameCentricRadio/.

  • More than Harley Quinn, No Joke(r): Mental Illness Portrayal in Gaming (Part 2)
The team at Game Centric Radio will take on a hot-button topic (again, since there was too much content for just one episode) -- depictions of mental illness in gaming! Whether we're looking at video games to portraying mental illnesses in table-top gaming, we'll be exploring accuracy and the fine line between "over the top" and downright offensive. We'll even look at character-based board/card games that touch on the subject,

  • Summertime Scariness: Halloween In June
Terrified of waiting for October to discuss horror gaming? Don't worry -- the Game Centric Radio crew will be discussing horror and horror gaming (of all types). GCR started this tradition last year, and we'll continue the creepy, crawly goodness this year (after all, what beats "Christmas in July" but "Halloween in June").

  • It's Not All Harley Quinn and Malkavians: Mental Illness Portrayed In Gaming
The team at Game Centric Radio will take on a hot-button topic -- depictions of mental illness in gaming! Whether we're looking at video games (from Borderlands to the depictions of Joker and Harley Quinn) to portraying mental illnesses (known as "derangements" in some systems) in table-top gaming, we'll be exploring accuracy and the fine line between "over the top" and downright offensive. We'll even look at character-based board/card games that touch on the subject, such as Gloom and Betrayal at the House on Haunted Hill.

  • Friday the 27th: Camp-y Movies and Their Terrifying(ly Bad) Games
While not everyone has had the joy that is shaking hands with Tommy Wiseau moments after he (literally) walks into a door -- though Movie Mistress Jade has, and loved every minute of it -- most have at least heard of the delightful disaster The Room. The movie, however, is much more well-known than the game (and definitely better known than the fact Wiseau has explored video games on the Tommy Wi-Show). Jade and her guest-host will go down the rabbit hole of ridiculous films and their related games during this episode of Final Friday Films.

  • Playing Indi-efinitely: Telling Tells of Terraria and Many More Indie Games
Game Centric Radio strives to provide a well-rounded look at gaming. Neglected too often, indie games take the forefront this week as Donnie discusses a host of indie games -- new, updated, and/or previously neglected. The team will be taking on the topic of when an indie game stops actually being an "indie game." Scott will also have one of his patent-pending Impromptu Game Reviews.

  • Reviewapalooza 2: Electric Boogalo
Northwest Indiana's Fifth Annual Arcticon takes place on Saturday, March 7. Check out GCR's review of this event on Tuesday, March 10, where we'll discuss the good, the bad, and the bizarre of this awesome, local Con. Additionally, Scott will have one of his patent-pending Impromptu Game Reviews! What is Scott reviewing? You'll have to tune in to find out!

  • Final Friday Films: The Sequel
In January, Game Centric Radio's FINAL FRIDAY FILMS discussed the collision between zombie movies and games. As February concludes, Jade will host a discussion of all things that are wrongly labeled zombies -- including infection films/games and invasion films/games. Donnie will return to guest host FINAL FRIDAY FILMS: THE SEQUEL, as well.
Any questions or specific movies (or games) you'd like to hear about during the episode? E-mail [email protected] with the subject line "Final Friday films."
