Sadly this week the only news was depressing...again! We talk about the Xbox re-org stuff like Halo going under Activision and all the other dumb and weird stuff they said. Also, Heart Machine laid off most of their employees and may not be able to continue going forward....

Despite the industry basically being a smoking crater at this point the video games themselves are pretty good! I completed Wolverine, played some Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, and played a whole ton of Control Resonant! Matt has transitioned to new games for the time being so he beat the Dave the Diver Jungle DLC, Mini Shoot Adventures, and Monster Train 2.

We return for another glorious episode. Nintendo had TWO directs and Sony had TWO state of plays! I only bothered to take notes on what Nintendo did, but that is irrelevant! We also discuss how Level-5 is so riddled with AI that it's kind of hard to get excited about anything they do going forward!

In the games front I beat Star Wars: Zero Company and Onimusha: Way of the Sword and both were excellent. Then I started to play Crimson Desert and have been asking myself important questions like, is this fun? Matt is nearing the end of Ghost of Yotei and has still been spending a lot of time with Geometry Wars and Dead Space 2. Get in now!

As promised we return with news of Gamescom, but most of it wasn't that exciting! We also discuss the GTA VI reveal and leaks, 2XKO stopping development, and the future of DoubleFine!

I played some Star Wars Zero company, but was mostly sucked in to transferring Pokemon from systems of old onto the Switch. Matt played more Sleeping Dogs, but hit a roadblock and pivoted into playing Ghost of Yotei and Dead Space 2.

We return again to bring you depressing news like layoffs at Halo Studio and Supermassive. Also, to the surprise of no one the EA buyout went through and now they will somehow find a way to be even more morally bankrupt! At least the Kindgom Hearts 4 D23 trailer was sick!

I decided to play through all 4 mainline Klonoa games, and had a grand ol' time playing through Big Walk. Matt took some time to play NHL2K8 and Peter Jackson's King-Kong. In a twist that is somewhat rare nowadays we are also playing Sleeping Dogs AT THE SAME TIME!

With very little news we make fun of the fact that Blinx the Time Sweeper was one of Xboxs big pulls for backwards compatibility on PC and lament the loss of Double Fine's layoffs.

A majority of the episode is us talking about games we played! I beat both Def Jam games on PS2 and then moved back into 2026 with Denshattack! and Splatoon Raiders. Matt started Super Paper Mario and has been digging his return to the first Ratchet and Clank for PS3.

The only real news this week was the continued enshitification of Xbox, so before getting to that I bring a bit of levity by talking about the early seasons of Game Center CX I have been watching. Lots of cool insight from the early 2000's.

I played Stellar Blade and am on the cusp of beating Fantasian while Matt continued to learn about the world of FIFA.

This one is going up very late as I lost track of time and have been very busy lately. The news will be pretty outdated as we discuss the impending Xbox layoffs which have now happened.

We are back again to talk more about how the video game industry is crumbling into dust before our very eyes. Xbox specifically is digging their own grave in an attempt for Microsoft to get any value out of them! It sucks!

Outside of that I chat about Lost and Found Co. and Matt continues his 7th generation journey!

SGF has descended upon the video game world once again. so we are flooded with news from the PlayStation State of Play, SGF proper, and the Xbox Showcase! So many new games and things to talk about!

On top of that I am juggling 5 new releases with Forza Horizon 6, Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, Mina the Hollower, and 007: First Light! Then Matt played a ton of stuff to rank as well!

It's a chunky one!

We go over the little news out there, but it's okay because we know next episode SGF will make way for video game news to wash over us once again.

I played very little trying to save myself for the five upcoming releases I need to juggle while Matt played 4 million games on his continued journey through the PS3/360 era.
