GameOnTV Podcast

It's our last podcast for 2011 and we list our top 5 games for the year as well as our best movie of the year. Will Red Dog: The Movie: The Game get a look in? No. But have a listen and see what does. All this, and a special holiday theme! What more could you want?!

Episode 27 and we kick off with a weather round up, apparently. Then it’s finishing up with Assassin’s Creed: Interminable Credits Sequence, starting on Tintin (at least for one of us...), updating some iOS physics based games, slashing away on Infinity Blade II, and looking ahead to some new Gears Of War 3 DLC. Then it’s up the skirt with Tekken, down the chimney with Arthur Christmas, and away from cinemas all together with Tim’s “movies to miss” list.

It’s episode 26 and, like a kid with a hernia, Tim won’t stop talking about Modern Warfare 3. This time he’s played it on PS3. He tried to play GoldenEye: Reloaded but got lonely. Jason played Assassin’s Creed: Revelations (it’s pretty great), and everybody loved a bit of Rayman: Origins. Jason ate some Jonah Hill crow after seeing MoneyBall, and Tim didn’t eat much at all after seeing Salt ‘N Pepper live (now with 50% more hotpants!).

It’s our 25th episode and we kick off with a Batman: Arkham City reminder. From there it’s into Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, GoldenEye: Reloaded, Halo: Combat Evolved, Saints Row: The Third, Need For Speed: The Run...basically a lot of games with colons. From there we go into news that is mainly just conjecture, talk disease with Contagion and I Am Legend and then generally digress.

Podcast 24! We talk about Modern Warfare 3 (it’s a game, you probably haven’t heard about it), Black Eyed Peas Experience and Kinect, exploding PS3s, Lord Of The Rings: War In The North Vs Skyrim, Epoch and Sword & Poker for iOS. In movies we look at Stinky Pants, Misery Guts, Horse Face and Roland Emerich. We also talk Marvel going “day and date” digital and check in on the DC relaunch in month 3.

In our 23rd episode we attempt a morning recording. Tim talks Battlefield 3, Jason talks the Nightwing DLC for Arkham City, we touch on LOTR War In The North, demo Need For Speed: The Run, we get into the GTA V trailer, talk Kinect Sports: Season 2, venture into Uncharted territory, look at Modern Combat 3 for iOS, and get excited about Rocksmith. In Movies, Tim isn’t sold on In Time, Jason is sold on Midnight In Paris, we chat trailers and things fall apart when talk turns to Todd Phillips.

Fresh from the special Microsoft Kinect event we bring you the 22nd episode of the GameOnTV Podcast. Strangely enough we kick off with some Kinect talk discussing the newly announced voice activation tech and some upcoming Kinect games, we get an update on Tim’s PS3 hard drive, talk Battlefield 3 early reports, GTA V announcements, Ezio in Soul Calibur V, more Arkham City talk, Tim reviews Warrior, we look forward to In Time, and Jason reviews Batman: Year One on DVD.

It’s our 21st episode and we go all out talking in depth about Arkham City. From there we talk NFL Blitz, QuickFlix coming to PS3, Walking Dead Season 2 Episode 1, Rachet & Clank: All 4 One, and some general movie chit chat. It’s a quick one!

We’re 20!! To celebrate we go in depth on Rage, we talk Arkham City and second hand games, get giddy about Golden Eye, look forward to Battlefield 3, talk installing games and new Apple products. In movies we catch up on “Stinky Pants” Ratner’s latest joint, Tim looks at Red State, and we have a brief chat about the new Avengers trailer.

After a struggle with all kinds of technical issues we present a Special “This is what we managed to salvage” episode of the GameOn TV Podcast. Tim gets hands on with Assassin’s Creed: Revelations as part of his Ubisoft roundup, we get a little Rage on, Jason gets let down by Burnout: Crash and cleaned up by Where’s My Water?, Tim gets tired arms with Forza 4 and we finish with a little Battlefield 3 talk.
