A powerful new crime thriller.

Against his better judgment Charlie gets involved in the case and when more bodies are discovered the awful truth dawns: there is a serial killer whose work has gone undetected for decades.
Is baby Lily the latest victim of a madman?
For Charlie it's too late, he can't let go.
His demons won't let him.

What a fantastic listen
This has been one of the best audio books I have listened to in years. The twists and turns kept me in suspense to the last second.
I can't wait to get stuck into Owen Mullen's second book and I hope it comes to audio soon.
Great storyline. It kept me hooked
Such a good storyline. A baby disappears and the developments just unfurl and had me hooked right up until the end. & id read the kindle version! Owen Mullen is definitely 1 to follow. He's obviously just going to get better.
I find a good story just comes to life with an audio book and this 1 def did.
The narrator was very good and had such a yummy accent. I could listen to him all day.
Wonderful!
Any additional comments?
Now, it's not usual for me to read a book and then listen to it a few months later on Audible. Quite frankly there aren't that many books that warrant reading twice, and certainly not in a short space of time. Owen Mullen's book is a superb exception to the rule. Even though I knew what was going to happen, it felt completely different listening to it play out. Benjamin McCulloch narrated excellently and added an extra layer of enjoyment to an already thoroughly enjoyable and absorbing book. Despite all of Charlie Cameron's issues, I have taken him to my heart and keep searching my mind for a suitable girlfriend for him before remembering that he's an imaginary character. Jackie is another brilliant character. I think we all know a 'Jackie'; a woman who has her work life completely together and is bound for professional greatness but who's love life is nowhere near as perfect. It's a real achievement if even the minor characters draw you in. Pat and Gail, Andrew and Sandra, (and his nightmare ex wife Elsbeth) are all believable and engaging. Together with Andrew, Alex, Kate, Charlie's parents, the whole cast contribute to to the brilliance and brightness of this fast paced and twisty story. Nothing turns out the way you think it's going to but the ultimate ending is clever and satisfying. So, now I've read it and listened to it, please can we see Charlie and the gang on TV. This would be a perfect TV series. I have no hesitation in highly recommending this 5 star audio book. You'll regret it if you miss out!
Great storyline
When I first started listening to this the narrator very nearly put me off. His voice was for me very much an acquired taste.
