The Government Accountability Office is adopting artificial intelligence and other emerging technology tools to increase its oversight capabilities for the audits and evaluations it conducts of federal programs. GAO’s Chief Data Officer Lindsey Saul says AI tools are helping the agency keep up with the growing volume of audit work requested by Congress.
