Keary Taylor continues to write a flowing story that can be devoured in one day! This is a âspin-offâ if you will, of the House books (first six volumes) that followed the story of Alivia Conrath and her journey from human to Royal Born Vampire. This new series follows Elle Ward, human, the sister of Aliviaâs husband Ian Ward.
Elle has grown up and is residing in Boston where she owns and operates an Apothecary; secretly carrying on the work of Aliviaâs father. Here she gets re-acquainted with the House of Allaway for both the good and the bad. Elle is definitely in this book as a victim/heroine. She has some major obstacles to overcome and as always, the Queen of the cliffhangers does not disappoint.
Not a bad start to a new series, but I canât wait to read the next book!

I can't believe this...
I can't believe this right now! Another amazing read! After I finish reading each book in this series, I think the next book can't be any more suspenseful/dramatic/awesome than the one I just completed. But, then Keary Taylor does it again -- she tops the previous book! I live this series!

OMG.... why isn't the next book out yet??? I can't wait to see what happens next.. just .. wooowwww! The Alivia series was great but the Elle series is on fire!
I love this book
I love this book!!!!!!! The way the characters are describe gives you a clear visual of what they look like, their demeanor, their attitudes and the affections! I love all the drama because it keeps you on your toes and leaves you wanting more!!!!

When I first started this book, I was skeptical about being able to enjoy a storyline by anyone other than the original main characters. I'm happy to report that I was wrong. Anxiously awaiting the next installment:)
