One local business that will surely see many loyal fans of cinema coming back is Metro Cinema's Garneau Theatre. Since Covid-19 restrictions began, the Garneau has been relying primarily on virtual screenings, but in the past two weeks we have seen the theatre open up to play Robocop and Terminator 2. The theatre's new capacity operates below 30% of its fire-coded 500 seats and has created 100 social distanced seats that exist in their own pods for groups of up to 5 to enjoy their experience safely while still offering accessible seating pods in the front and side of the theatre. Screenings will be posted 1-2 weeks in advance on their website and through their newsletter. Staff encourage you to show up at least 15-30 minutes prior to your film to secure seating and encourage patrons to purchase their tickets online through their website.
