It has the potential to bring the harness racing industry to its knees.
This from Harnessed New Zealand Editor Garrick Knight following a police raid on ten stables in Christchurch, the Manawatu and Invercargill yesterday afternoon.
The raid follows a 17-month investigation over allegations of match fixing, corruption and drugs.
Garrick Knight told Mike Hosking it will depend on just how many races have been fixed.
"If it comes out that leading drivers have been organising races and punters haven't been getting a fair go race-goers will be turned off."
