We all have books, music, movies, pieces of art that elate us in good times and sustain us in hard times. The 1975 book "The Doonesbury Chronicles" is at the top of the list for me. I frequently go back to it, rereading strips that I've read a hundred times. Garry Trudeau created Doonesbury, initially called Bull Tales, at Yale in the late 60's.
