Why are the Democrats so hell bent to get Trump out of office when it just means Mike Pence becomes president? What makes them feel having Mike Pence as President is going to change anything? He's even more conservative than Trump and is also despised by the left.

It's because the Democrats have no intention of ever allowing Mike Pence to become President.

Step one is massive organized voter fraud to take the majority in both the House and Senate in November. Considering the corruption and conspiracies uncovered as of late, massive voter fraud is minor league.
Step two, Trump is impeached. Turncoat "Never Trumpers" lead by John McCain put the vote over the top and he is convicted. They will happily turn over the reigns to Mike Pence. What they aren't prepared for is step 3.

Step three: With Chuck Shumer and Nancy Pelosi in charge of Congress, the majority Democrats find some way to declare the 2016 election null and void based on the impeachment. I'm sure they can get one of their liberal federal judges to rule it's legal. Why not? How many times has an all powerful single piss-ant liberal federal district judge already been allowed to overrule the President of the United States? Then, when the Trump/Pence ticket is disqualified, the runner-up Hillary/Kaine ticket is declared the legitimate winner. The Supreme Court is powerless to stop it since it will be declared Trump's appointments are also null and void. Hillary appoints a liberal Supreme Court replacement for Gorsuch and now has the majority.
James Comey gets his FBI job back and Robert Mueller is appointed attorney general. Meanwhile.....

... If Trump is railroaded out of office, there would be a Middle America uprising that would pit his supporters against the liberal urban coasts and big cities. The left wants chaos to justify their actions and further vilify conservatives. A civil war of extreme violence would be stirred up intentionally by the left and blamed on the right by the mainstream media further polarizing the public. Out of control violence would require national marshal law be declared. A "voluntary" surrender of all guns is requested. We refuse of course and it's actually what the left counts on. There is then no choice but to repeal the Second Amendment and we are now ordered to turn in our guns. We still refuse. Since the Deep State has the FBI, Department of Justice, the NSA and the CIA in their hip pocket and a lackey Joint Chiefs of Staff is picked for the military, they can suspend the Constitution and seize power. They create a police state to take away guns by force. The borders are opened and we are flooded with illegals and eventually outnumbered by foreigners. Resisting gun owners take their guns and flee to the hills before all conservative gun toting white males can be rounded up and classified as "enemy combatants". Their possessions left behind are seized as "reparations". Black, Hispanic and female conservatives are treated as traitors and some even tried for treason.

Too far fetched? Don't underestimate the Clintons, George Soros and the Deep State. Look at what's taken place so far. If the Deep State can protect and exonerate their criminal friends, what keeps them from prosecuting and convicting their enemies?
I wrote this tongue in cheek. I read it back to myself and I'm not grinning anymore.
