Love in Action >> Romans 12:9-13 NIV
Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

SEND ME >> Prayer and Evangelism in Abilene, Texas | Saturday, March 6
Isaiah 6 shows us an incredible vision of the Throne Room and Isaiah's Commissioning as a Prophet.
Isaiah 6:6-8: "Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. With it he touched my mouth and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.” Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
SEND ME is the heart cry of many people and ministries who desire to pray, go, and testify about encountering the Living God.
Come for practical prayer & evangelism training that will activate you in groups that lead to a Night of Prayer for Missions. Families are welcome and encouraged to disciple their kids in prayer & evangelism.

Welcome to Gather to Overflow - I’m Evan Umberger.
In this episode, I interview Braden Crow, a Local Outreach Pastor in Abilene, Texas, about how our hearts overflow in times of crisis. Stick around and forgive how many times I say um. Alright, let’s hang for a while…
Here are the organizations, friends, and Scripture that we mentioned:
Hey! Thanks again for hanging with us through all of the laughs, serious talk, and ums. I’m pretty sure I broke a world record for the number of ums in a podcast.
As a heads up, save the date for Friday, April 24th at 8 pm Central through Saturday, April 25th at 8 pm Central. We’ll be joining an online 24-hour day of worship, prayer, and testimonies with our friends at PrayForTech.com. Originally I had been coaching and consulting them about a 12-hour day of worship, prayer, and testimonies at Google HQ in Silicon Valley; however, we had to cancel due to the coronavirus and decided to pivot towards an online gathering, plus doubling our hours to include more people around the globe. Please be praying for the leadership team and everyone who will be part in any capacity. Also, be on the lookout for a blooper edition of this episode with even more laughs.
As always, when you have any interview requests, questions, or testimonies, please feel free to email [email protected]. Also, if you’d like to give to our ministry you can do that at https://www.theasaphgroup.com/give.
May God bless you this Good Friday and Easter Resurrection Sunday as you gather to overflow in your home!
Welcome to Gather to Overflow by The Asaph Group - I’m Evan Umberger.
In this episode, I’m going to be sharing about my recent facilitating experience in Abilene, Texas for a Worship & Prayer Workshop that was put on by Movement 12 on Saturday, March 7, 2020. The biggest highlight for me was not teaching about being a family of prayer or even coaching the singers & musicians, it was the seamless mic handoff, giving up any control that I had, and the worship & prayer meeting was happening without me. I loved it!
Be sure to check out the links in the show description for the updated notes - it’ll be a Google Doc and the BOLD LIFE Facebook Group. I’m so excited about the timing to build a community of singers & musicians who are pursuing the BOLD LIFE of modern worship music, prayer sets, and spontaneous songs. This free community will be focused on two groups of key Scriptures. Colossians 3 and Ephesians 5 which both talk about singing and praying songs or Psalms, hymns or modern worship music, and spiritual songs or prophetic songs spontaneously given by the Spirit. Psalms 57 and 108 which both say, “My heart, O God, is steadfast, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music. Awake, my soul! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn. I will praise you, Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth.”
Alright, let’s hang for a while…

I hope that this has been enjoyable and very practical for you, your family, and your next worship & prayer gathering - whether that’s in your living room, prayer closet, online, or - right now - a group of 10. When a singer, musician, or prayer warrior comes to mind, I just want to invite you to please share this with them and encourage them to sing and pray the Bible. Remember, we are God’s children and co-heirs with Christ knowing, singing to, and releasing the will of our Father through Jesus with the power of the Holy Spirit.
As always, when you have any interview requests, questions, or testimonies, please feel free to email [email protected]. Also, if you’d like to give to our ministry you can do that at TheAsaphGroup.com/Give. Thanks for being with me and may God bless you as you gather to overflow.
Welcome to Gather to Overflow by The Asaph Group - I’m Evan Umberger. I hope that you and your family are doing well these days dealing with the coronavirus globally and locally, leading with faith instead of fear, keeping your peace, and that you’re able to have quality gatherings...no matter how small.
Like you, my kids are on a forced Spring Break and I had things to do. I was supposed to help lead a worship leader gathering that I’ve been looking forward to since November, but we ended up postponing...so my wife and I are having some extra time to hang out with our kids & I’m honestly thankful.
Have you noticed that all of these extra moments are opportunities for us to rest, receive revelations, and reset our rhythms? I want to encourage you to take advantage of these opportunities while you’re starting your day, working from home, spending more family time that you usually do, doing chores or catching up!, maybe having another family over for dinner, having prayer calls over Zoom with family and friends from across the country (we actually just did one and it was so enjoyable!), or whatever you’re feeling led to do. Ask God what He wants to release with you in this season: that could be being full of love, joy, peace, an encourager to people around you or a long lost family or friend - call them up, prayer, etc.
So onto this episode, I’m going to be giving an update about The Send Brazil that happened on Saturday, February, 8th, 2020. I don’t know if you heard about The Send, but you can read more on their website (TheSend.org) and social media to find out that it’s a movement of multiple ministries led by a collaboration with Poppa Lou Engle, Andy Byrd from YWAM, Todd White from Lifestyle Christianity, Michael Kouluonos from Jesus Image, Brian Brennt from Circuit Riders, Daniel Kolenda from Christ for All Nations, and Teo Hayashi from Dunamis Movement. Here’s a little update from this evening that I just saw: their April gathering in Argentina is going to be postponed to a later date and the one in October at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City is still going ahead as planned & they’re still working on the date with the NFL.
In short, this trip was very powerful and, as I mention, it was so enjoyable to be around leaders who were real and authentic at the airport, over meals, and in the hotel, even before they stepped on the platform. Some ministry leaders even just came to hang, be a part, worship, & support through prayer on the side stage without a microphone or expectation for a 15-minute slot.
Alright, let’s hang for a while…
We hope this helped fill up your faith tank and spurred you into action.
As always, when you have any requests, questions, or testimonies, please feel free to email [email protected]. Also, if you’d like to give to our ministry you can do that at theasaphgroup.com/give. Thanks again for being with us.
May God bless you as you Gather to Overflow.
Welcome to Gather to Overflow by The Asaph Group - I’m Evan Umberger. My wife, Chelsea, and I have realized that there are a lot of people like you who want to know about God’s amazing and authentic work around the world, but sometimes there are stories that don’t make the news or even some stories that you want to hear from the source instead of the typical social media outlets.
That’s why we’re here: to connect, consult, and coach Christian ministries so that we can learn from & grow with each other...instead of hiding behind a profile with bitterness or even offense. Much like you, we want to gather, not just so that we have a great conversation or event, but that there’s an overflow in our lives in the way we worship, pray, and love one another with God’s power in unity.
Please subscribe, leave us a message, and bring an open heart on this journey together that we call Gather to Overflow.
