Gathering Strength

They said, “You’ll be fat just like me.” But what they were really saying was, “I gave up — and I want you to give up too.” In this powerful episode we exposes the curse of low expectations that’s been passed down from man to man — and shows how to break it through discipline, faith, and the fire of God’s Word. From rock bottom to Ironman finish lines, Ruben’s journey proves that true strength isn’t built in comfort — it’s forged in consistency, stewardship, and surrender to Christ. This episode will challenge you, convict you, and call you to rise up as the man God designed you to be. 💪🔥✝️

What if science didn’t disprove God—but instead whispered His name? In this episode of Gathering Strength, Ruben Cuevas takes you on a journey from the birth of the universe to the beating heart of human purpose. We’ll explore what it means to live in a temporally finite universe—a creation with a beginning, designed with intention. Using Scripture, philosophy, and down-to-earth storytelling, Ruben connects the cosmic clock of creation to the everyday struggles of work, faith, and family. This episode reminds us that though time will one day stop, our purpose in Christ is eternal.

🎙️ Tune in to discover how science, reason, and faith converge to reveal not chaos—but divine order.

In this episode of Gathering Strength, Ruben Cuevas explores how one ancient truth — the law of the lever — can transform the way we live, work, and believe. From Archimedes to Johannes Kepler, from the workshop to the heavens, this episode reminds us that when a man finds his place to stand, even the heaviest load can be lifted. Faith, discipline, and balance — this is strength in motion.

Tune in to learn the gospel of grit, and why king Solomon says you can find wisdom there.

Proverbs 6:6-11

New International Version

6 Go to the ant, you sluggard;

consider its ways and be wise!

7 It has no commander,

no overseer or ruler,

8 yet it stores its provisions in summer

and gathers its food at harvest.

9 How long will you lie there, you sluggard?

When will you get up from your sleep?

10 A little sleep, a little slumber,

a little folding of the hands to rest—

11 and poverty will come on you like a thief

and scarcity like an armed man.
