The Economic Freedom Fighters has confirmed that it will be taking to the streets in a national shutdown on Monday, 20 March, and has called on all South Africans to join in. Numerous court cases have been launched by opposition parties and civil society to end rolling blackouts. The unrest-marred public servants’ wage strike might be over, but not before the Labour Appeal Court interdicted the National Education Health and Allied Workers Union from doing any more damage.
