The story of this episode 'Gauri' was written against the backdrop of Indian freedom struggle by the famous writer and poetess Subhadra Kumari Chauhan who was herself the first Indian lady to become a satyagrahi. Gauri kahani hai ek seedhi sadhi young ladki ki. Kya hota hai jab wo milti hai Seetaram ji se, jo freedom fighter hain. ये सीजन बहादुरी और देशभक्ति की कहानियों को समर्पित है. पहली कहानी गौरी की लेखिका हैं सुभद्रा कुमारी चौहान, जो अपनी ओजपूर्ण कविताओं (झाँसी की रानी) और कहनियों के लिए प्रसिद्द हुईं. ये वीर रस में लिखती ही नहीं थीं, बल्कि भारत की पहली महिला सत्याग्रही भी थीं, गाँधी जी के साथ असहयोग आंदोलन में भाग लिया और अनेकों बार जेल गयीं. इन्होंने देशवाशियों के सोये हुए अभिमान को अपनी लेखनी की ऊर्जा से प्रेरित करने का कार्य बहुत सफलतापूर्वक किया.
