This morning the focus is on Gauteng’s two metros which are expected to have new executive members by end of day. As this may cause disruptions on governance, MEC for Human Settlements, Urban Planning and CoGTA Lebogang Maile has issued a statement assuring residents of the City of Johannesburg and City of Tshwane, respectively his department will oversee with what he refers to as an “eagle eye” sittings of both Metro Councils taking place this morning.
