Brandon preached about how our posture should be when facing prolonged opposition. Prolonged opposition can lead to discouragement and weariness, causing us to lose focus. Weariness is not a sign that God has abandoned us, it is often where His strength is revealed most powerfully. God is everlasting and He doesn’t grow tired or weary. We are created to be totally dependent on Him even when facing opposition.

Hilton shared insights on how we grant access to the demonic in our lives, as well as the authority we have in Jesus Christ to overcome them.

Brandon emphasised that opposition is a normal part of a Christian life. Like David, we can face every challenge with confidence, trusting in God’s presence for our strength, guidance and deliverance refusing to let fear drown out God’s voice. As we seek God, obey His leading and patiently wait on Him, we can remain confident that we will experience His goodness in the land of the living.

Paul encouraged the church to know who we are and whose we are. In Christ we are forgiven, adopted into God’s family, made whole and never alone. Although our struggle is not against flesh and blood, God calls us to actively fight by putting on His full armour, standing firm and in truth.

Stan preached on facing opposition and emphasized that spiritual warfare but christians must avoid seeing a demon behind every problem or ignoring the spiritual real altogether. God uses trials to grow and refine us, the enemy seeks to use suffering, success, conflict and fear to draw us away from God’s purposes. We need God’s wisdom to discern the source of our struggles; while deliverance may sometimes be necessary, repentance, humility and perseverance are always required.
