We're into the final week of the Omer. The week of Malchus - Kingship. We have said all along that a real king is a servant to his people. We went from being slaves to becoming Mamleches Kohanim - a kingodm of priests. The journey was one of freeing ourselves from being enslaved to our own desires, to becoming masters of self-control.

Mind over matter. Head over heart. That way, you are a king. The other way around, you are nothing but a slave. 

Day one of the final week sees the chesed of Avraham teaching his guests how to acknowledge the true King. By giving them a choice of bentsching or paying a fortune, he makes them an 'offer' that they cannot refuse.
