• Humility

3. Church leaders serve with pure motives.

4. Church leaders will be rewarded by Christ.

• Good for good, evil for evil – Human level
• Good for evil – Jesus level

3. When life is unfair, remember that…

• I’m blessed by God
• Don’t fear their threats
• Acknowledge Jesus
• Be ready to give answers

1. God designed marriage.

2. Wives imitate Christ through submission.

Big Idea: As citizens of God’s kingdom, we honor human authority to reflect God’s goodness and bring Him glory.

1. God establishes authority on three levels: Government, Workplace, Home.

• When authority commands you to sin.
• When authority demands idolatry.
• When authority forbids the gospel.

2. Submission silences critics.

• Respect everyone—value every person made in God’s image.
• Love your brothers and sisters—prioritize unity in God’s family.
• Fear God—Keep your allegiance to Jesus.
• Honor the emperor—Live responsibly.

3. Suffering like Christ brings glory to God.

4. Submission in not weakness—it’s worship.
