This week on The Artist Unmasked I chat with Contemporary Collage Artist G.E. Vogt. G.E. Vogt began her artistic career in performance art and gradually moved to expressing her thoughts, emotions, and stories she wanted to tell into her collage work. Collage became her primary medium because of its ability to incorporate any medium, material, or found object into the telling of a story. Bringing together elements that are seemingly so disparate at first, Vogt uses the contradiction between the elements to tell an inherently contradictory narrative which she finds to be the most exciting aspects of this style of work.
