This week on **What Am I Watching This Week?**, *Star Trek* finally gives me the episode I’ve been waiting for, *Stuart Fails to Save the Universe* takes us to a universe full of cows, *Lanterns* starts playing with some controversial Green Lantern lore, *Lioness* keeps me suspicious of just about everyone… and Kyle Chandler sends me right back to the ’90s with *Early Edition*. First up, **Lioness Season 3 Episode 5 – “The Idiot Army.”** The deeper we get into Season 3, the more convinced I am that there’s still another layer behind Joe’s abduction. We’re seeing recruitment networks, intelligence operations and some very grey methods from the team — but I’m still not convinced we’ve reached the top of the chain. Then there’s **Stuart Fails to Save the Universe**, which continues to be one of the strangest and funniest things I’m watching each week. This time we get a universe where humans evolved from cows — complete with grass, cud and salt licks — and somehow it works. Even better, the episode was directed by one of my favourites: **Jonathan Frakes**, best known to Star Trek fans as William Riker from *The Next Generation* and as the director of *Star Trek: First Contact*. I’m also still onboard with **Lanterns**, although Episode 3 is where I can really understand why some comic readers are finding the series divisive. The show is making some substantial changes to John Stewart’s background and Green Lantern lore. I’m not a Green Lantern comic reader, so I’m coming at this primarily as a television viewer — and I’m still enjoying it. But I definitely want to hear from the comic fans: are these changes working for you, or has the show gone too far from the source material? For this week’s nostalgia hit, watching Kyle Chandler in *Lanterns* made me decide to go all the way back to **Early Edition**. I haven’t watched this show since I was a teenager. Gary Hobson wakes up every morning to find tomorrow’s newspaper delivered to him today, giving him the chance to stop disasters before they happen. And after all these years? **It still holds up.** There’s something really enjoyable about going back to ’90s television where a show could have one fantastic idea, great characters and a new adventure every week. And finally… **Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 4 Episode 6 – “Off-Hour.”** After being pretty critical of the last few episodes, I have to give the show credit this week. This was good *Star Trek*. Yes, the countdown clock and split-screen presentation gave me some serious *24* vibes, but this time the stylistic gimmick actually served the story. The Enterprise is in trouble, the crew has problems to solve, time is running out and everyone has a role to play. That’s exactly what I’ve been asking for. So after several weeks of complaining about *Strange New Worlds*… **Star Trek actually takes my Weekly Verdict this time.** This week we’re talking **Lioness: The Idiot Army, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, Lanterns Episode 3, Early Edition and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds – Off-Hour.** And as always, I want to hear what **you’re** watching.
