The Geektown Radio podcast returns with Darryl from Hollywood North News in the co-host chair to chat through and review the last seven days on UK TV, film, and gaming, alongside the usual TV news and UK TV air dates.
It is another busy week on tv as Darryl steps into 'First Kill', the new YA vampire series from Netflix, along with reviewing Chinese sci-fi 'Shanghai Fortress', and we catch up with 'The Boys'. Meanwhile, I preview the new Sky time-loop sci-fi drama 'The Lazarus Project', along with reviewing this week's big Disney+ release, 'Ms. Marvel', and HBO drama 'We Own This City' from 'The Wire's David Simon.
Over in the TV news, we chat through the usual renewals and cancellations. We also catch up with all the news of days two to five of Netflix's "Geeked Week" event (as we covered day one last week), which features lots of new animated series, along with a number of games which will be joining the platform! The other big event last week was “Ghostbusters Day”, which saw them announce some new movie projects, alongside new animation, comics and games.
