We are back with a new episode of the Geektown Radio podcast, and Darryl from Hollywood North News joins me on the show as we chat through and review the week on UK TV and film, alongside the usual TV news and UK TV air dates.
As Darryl is currently stuck at home due to a broken foot, he's been delving into some movies for us and brings reviews of a couple of horror films. First up we have teen slasher, 'Hell Fest', followed by the horror-comedy 'Unhuman'. He also chats about season one of the drama 'Departure', along with 'FBI: International', both of which you can find on Sky & NOW. Meanwhile, I review Steven Moffat's BBC series which also now is airing on Netflix, 'Inside Man', with Stanley Tucci & David Tennant.
In the news section, we run through all the renewals, cancellations and pick-ups, which includes the fallout post "Upfronts" week, and which shows are still MIA. We also talk about how the Writer's Strike is likely to affect the US and UK schedules later this year; Disney removing a bunch of shows from their streaming service; And the possible return of 'The Librarians' in a new continuation series.
