A little later than normal, but we are finally back with a new episode of the Geektown Radio podcast, and I'm joined by Matt from Entertainment Talk to chat about the latest TV shows, films, and video games.
Matt begins by catching up on some older TV, as he finally gets around to watching season three of 'War Of The Worlds' on Disney+, along with catching up on the penultimate season of 'The Handmaid's Tale' on Prime Video. Switching to streaming service ITVX, he reviews the true-crime miniseries drama 'Love & Death' starring Elizabeth Olsen and Jesse Plemons. Meanwhile, I have been over on Paramount+, taking in the revival of 'Fraiser', and on Sky watching the third season of 'Cobra: Rebellion'. I also review the new time-bending Netflix crime-drama limited series 'Bodies'.
Moving onto the news, we begin with all the renews, cancellations and pick-ups this week. We also catch up on the latest with the SAG-AFTRA strike; Discuss why losing daytime drama ‘Doctors’ is actually a bigger deal than it seems; Talk about a new medical drama starring Zachary Quinto; And a couple of new BBC projects based around the work of 'Sherlock Homles' creator Arthur Conan Doyle.
