Geelong Mums was officially established in April 2013 and held its first collection event on 1 June 2013. For just over 12 months they operated from a small shed and from volunteers homes.

By August 2014 they had grown to the point that they appointed Kate Kent as General Manager, and moved into a large warehouse in South Geelong. Kate is here with me today, and with her is Ebony Hickey, the Family Services Team Leader for the Department of Education and Training at Wathaurong Aboriginal Co-Operative.
