The common misconception today is that non binary and the other 52 genders are some new fad to be apart of the lgbtq community. However, because of the lack of education in America we don’t know that all these years it hasn’t been the regular binary (male and female) in many different cultures and traditions all over the world there has been the recognition and understanding that there are different genders and it’s not all because of gender dysphoria. Gender in some cultures and traditions are viewed as a sacred thing such as two spirit in Indigenous culture.
