Gender: The Gospel and Gender Confusion

In today’s episode, we are going to address two questions:

  1. What does it look like to express our God-given gender in our culture around us?
  2. What if we are confused about our gender?

    3. A Biblical Theology of Gender and the Human Body: God created men and women in his own image.

    So how might we summarize the Christian view of “gender”? Well our “gender” isn’t just psychological.

    • Physical body
    • God-given dispositions/inclinations.
    • cultural expressions

      • The fall (mankind’s rebellion against God) has distorted us in body and mind.

      The resurrection affirms the goodness of the gendered body.


      Loving Our Neighbors in a World of Gender Confusion

      So, we might wonder: how should we show the love of Christ in this world that celebrates gender non-conformity? 

      Here are five suggestions:

      1. Seek Wisdom.
      2. Adopt a Posture of Compassion.
      3. Speak the Truth and the Gospel in Love
      4. Call Others to Realistic Repentance
      5. Persevere by God’s Grace
