Testifying before the Senate, two top U.S. Generals contradict the President, saying they advised him against a total withdrawal from Afghanistan, and that 2,500 American troops should remain. The White House is now pushing back on critics saying the Military’s advice was, at no point, that in five years time this number of troops would be sustainable.
