Names are an important part of communicating who you are the world around you. Whether it's through your name's meaning, how it describes you, or what it tells others about who you're related to... names carry a lot of weight in telling the world about who you are. God is no different. the Bible tells us a lot about who He is through His Names. So for the next couple of weeks, we're going to be looking at the different names of God. Today, we are reminded that - like the Father's very finger prints, Jesus coming to earth as the Finger Prince - of God's nature and what His Kingdom is like - gives us an idea of the life we'll live with the Father. Not at war constantly, but in peace and unity.

Today, we're going all the way back to the end... all the way to Revelation, to see how Jesus reminds us that He's always been, is, and will forever be... because He is the ALPHA & OMEGA!

This week, we're looking at how God built His Kingdom. Specifically, how He's building His UPSIDE DOWN KINGDOM. Nothing is as it would be on earth... but it is the way He set it up. Today we look at how Jesus came to the earth, amidst all the earthly Kingdoms, and rather than having everyone on earth serve Him - the King of Kings - He, instead... came to serve. That by serving, all would know the character and love of God. He desires for us to do the same, and showing the people living in the earthly kingdoms a better way... by inviting them to be citizens of His upside down Kingdom. 

Our passage today is:  Matthew 20:28

This week, we're looking at how God built His Kingdom. Specifically, how He's building His UPSIDE DOWN KINGDOM. Nothing is as it would be on earth... but it is the way He set it up. Today we look at how in this earthly Kingdom, instead of hating our enemies, we must love our enemies and PRAY for our enemies... in hopes that their hearts would be changed and moved towards Jesus and that our hearts would be changed towards them.

This week, we're looking at how God built His Kingdom. Specifically, how He's building His UPSIDE DOWN KINGDOM. Nothing is as it would be on earth... but it is the way He set it up. Today we look at how in this earthly Kingdom, we must lose our lives in order to save our lives for the eternal Kingdom of God... you know, the upside down Kingdom!

This week, we're looking at how God built His Kingdom. Specifically, how He's building His UPSIDE DOWN KINGDOM. Nothing is as it would be on earth... but it is the way He set it up. Today we look at how the FIRST in God's Kingdom must put themselves LAST here on earth.

This week, we're going to start looking at some of the words that get used all the time in church, the Bible or in Christian circles. Some of these words are unhelpful without the proper definition or explanation... in fact, I like to call these words: Christianese. They're words that Christians use, that anyone outside of church (or those without a long history in the church) might not understand. We're going to define these words, and help to give context to them. Today's word is THE BODY OF CHRIST. As the CAPITAL "C" Church, we are said to be the "Body of Christ." Made up of many parts, we come together - with Jesus as the head - to form the body that will see the gospel spread to the ends of the earth. Each believer with unique skills, passions and callings... making up the whole of the body. We are the Body of Christ, His Church.

Some of these words are unhelpful without the proper definition or explanation... in fact, I like to call these words: Christianese. They're words that Christians use, that anyone outside of church (or those without a long history in the church) might not understand. We're going to define these words, and help to give context to them. Today's word is BORN AGAIN. We can only ever be born of the flesh once... but we can be born of the Spirit after we're born of the flesh... and in this way, we can be born again!

Some of these words are unhelpful without the proper definition or explanation... in fact, I like to call these words: Christianese. They're words that Christians use, that anyone outside of church (or those without a long history in the church) might not understand. We're going to define these words, and help to give context to them. Today's word is SANCTIFICATION. This is the process by which we come to look more like Jesus. Where justification is a once-and-for-all ruling after we're saved... sanctification never stops until we die and are with Jesus. We continue to be sanctified, and made to look more like Jesus ever new day!
