Generation Peace

Generation Peace: Colombia

Listen Later

Generation Peace is a podcast that challenges the way we think about the role young people play in peace and conflict, and that shines a light on how those young people can bring about change. Hosted by Dr Michaelina Jakala, academic lead at the Centre for Peace and Security at Coventry University, each episode focuses on a different country; its history of peace and conflict, how the young people in that country have affected change and what we can learn from them. This episode looks at Colombia and the multiple ways in which way its young people have worked to support peace. Our guests are Mateo Ortiz Herndandez from the Youth Observatory at Xaveriana University in Colombia; Egoitz Gago Anton from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in Spain; and Justina Pinkeviciute from the Centre for Peace and Security at Coventry University.
