In this sermon, we explore the true heart of generosity and how giving sustains God’s work through love. Drawing from 2 Corinthians 8:1–7, we uncover how generosity begins not with our resources but with God’s grace. Love, not comfort or convenience, is what motivates true giving.
We examine how social capital within the Church is built through our interdependence on one another, reminding us that giving is a privilege, never a burden. With a surrendered heart, we grow spiritually as we give, aligning ourselves with God’s purposes.
Through the examples in Malachi 3:10 and Exodus 35:5–9, we learn what it means to give freely, willingly, and faithfully. This sermon also challenges common excuses for withholding generosity, being broke, assuming others will give, or believing God understands our reluctance. Instead, we affirm that every contribution matters in the Kingdom of God.
Join us for a transformative message on living a life of love, grace, and open-handed generosity.
