The Ganges is the biggest river in the world providing water and irrigation for a million people. The bbc did a documentary that tracked its origin. They traced it all the way up into the Himalayas, to a tiny trickle in a glacier with a small hole called the cows mouth. The entire river begins at this small point. In exactly the same way. The Bible is a story about two rivers. The river of sin, and the river of God’s promise. And these rivers flow from two men, Adam and Abraham. God’s promises to bless the whole world begin with a small man Abraham. Through Abraham we see the pattern of God’s kingdom being restored.
