Génesis 40:6-23:
Por la mañana José vino a ellos y los vio, y he aquí que ellos estaban tristes. Preguntó a los funcionarios del faraón que estaban con él bajo custodia en la casa de su señor, diciendo: —¿Por qué hoy están tristes sus caras?
Ellos le dijeron: —Hemos tenido un sueño, y no hay quien nos lo interprete.
Entonces José les dijo: —¿Acaso no son de Dios las interpretaciones? Cuéntenmelo, por favor.
Entonces el jefe de los coperos contó su sueño a José, diciendo: —En mi sueño veía delante de mí una vid. En la vid había tres ramas. Parecía que ella brotaba, florecía y sus racimos de uvas maduraban. La copa del faraón estaba en mi mano, y yo tomaba las uvas, las exprimía en la copa del faraón y ponía la copa en la mano del faraón.
Y José le respondió: —Esta es su interpretación: Las tres ramas son tres días. Dentro de tres días el faraón te hará levantar cabeza y te restituirá a tu puesto. Volverás a poner la copa en la mano del faraón, como solías hacerlo anteriormente, cuando eras su copero. Pero cuando te vaya bien, acuérdate tú de mí. Por favor, actúa con misericordia para conmigo; haz mención de mí al faraón y hazme sacar de esta casa. Porque yo fui secuestrado de la tierra de los hebreos, y nada he hecho aquí para que me pusieran en la cárcel.
Viendo el jefe de los panaderos que la interpretación había sido favorable, dijo a José: —También yo soñaba que había tres cestas de pan blanco sobre mi cabeza. En la cesta superior había toda clase de manjares de pastelería para el faraón, pero las aves se los comían de la cesta que estaba sobre mi cabeza.
Entonces José respondió: —Esta es su interpretación: Las tres cestas son tres días. Dentro de tres días el faraón quitará tu cabeza de encima de ti. Te hará colgar en la horca, y las aves comerán tus carnes.
Y sucedió que al tercer día fue el cumpleaños del faraón, y él dio un banquete a todos sus servidores. Entonces levantó la cabeza del jefe de los coperos y la cabeza del jefe de los panaderos, en medio de sus servidores. Al jefe de los coperos lo restituyó en su cargo de copero, y este volvió a poner la copa en la mano del faraón. Pero hizo ahorcar al jefe de los panaderos, como José les había interpretado. Sin embargo, el jefe de los coperos no se acordó de José, sino que se olvidó de él.
José estaba en la cárcel injustamente. A pesar de eso, el Señor lo bendijo grandemente, al punto que llegó a ser el administrador de la cárcel.
José continuó siendo el mismo, trabajando con honestidad y dedicación. Siguió siendo fiel al Señor con su testimonio, confiando en la soberanía de Dios sobre su vida. Esa perseverancia permitió que José ejercitara más ese don que Dios le había dado. Él no solo tenía sueños proféticos, sino que también Dios le dio el don de interpretación de sueños. José clamó a Dios, y Dios le mostró el significado de los sueños del jefe de los panaderos y el jefe de los coperos. José se convirtió en un instrumento del Señor en medio de su difícil situación, en la injusticia y la privación de su derecho de libertad.
Este es un gran ejemplo a seguir. Seamos fieles al Señor en las injusticias, en los momentos difíciles. José estaba incómodo y deseaba salir pronto. Inclusive rogó al jefe de los coperos que intercediera por él ante el faraón cuando se fuera pero él se olvidó de José cuando se cumplió el sueño, y José tuvo que pasar más años en la cárcel esperando que el Señor cumpliera su sueño. ¡Imagínate ver los sueños de otros cumplirse pero no el tuyo! Esa frustración y lágrimas de desespero Dios las escuchó, pero José tuvo que vivir unos años más de encierro y sometido a la fuerza a trabajos que no había escogido.
No te desesperes. Sigue sirviendo al Señor, ayuda a otros a que sus sueños se cumplan y no dañes tu corazón con sentimientos de desánimo, envidia o arrogancia. No abras tu corazón a la amargura. Sigue adelante con paciencia, con perseverancia y confía en el Señor, y el tiempo llegará para que tus sueños se cumplan.
Escudriña: Lee el verso 4. Nota la frase "y Jose les servía". Usa el método VISUALÍZALO, visualiza a José siendo el líder de la cárcel que, en vez de abusar de su posición, servía a sus compañeros.

Genesis 40:6-23:
And Joseph came in to them in the morning and looked at them, and saw that they were sad. So he asked Pharaoh’s officers who were with him in the custody of his lord’s house, saying, “Why do you look so sad today?”
And they said to him, “We each have had a dream, and there is no interpreter of it.”
So Joseph said to them, “Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell them to me, please.”
Then the chief butler told his dream to Joseph, and said to him, “Behold, in my dream a vine was before me, and in the vine were three branches; it was as though it budded, its blossoms shot forth, and its clusters brought forth ripe grapes. Then Pharaoh’s cup was in my hand; and I took the grapes and pressed them into Pharaoh’s cup, and placed the cup in Pharaoh’s hand.”
And Joseph said to him, “This is the interpretation of it: The three branches are three days. Now within three days Pharaoh will lift up your head and restore you to your place, and you will put Pharaoh’s cup in his hand according to the former manner, when you were his butler. But remember me when it is well with you, and please show kindness to me; make mention of me to Pharaoh, and get me out of this house. For indeed I was stolen away from the land of the Hebrews; and also I have done nothing here that they should put me into the dungeon.”
When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was good, he said to Joseph, “I also was in my dream, and there were three white baskets on my head. In the uppermost basket were all kinds of baked goods for Pharaoh, and the birds ate them out of the basket on my head.”
So Joseph answered and said, “This is the interpretation of it: The three baskets are three days. Within three days Pharaoh will lift off your head from you and hang you on a tree; and the birds will eat your flesh from you.”
Now it came to pass on the third day, which was Pharaoh’s birthday, that he made a feast for all his servants; and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and of the chief baker among his servants. Then he restored the chief butler to his butlership again, and he placed the cup in Pharaoh’s hand. But he hanged the chief baker, as Joseph had interpreted to them. Yet the chief butler did not remember Joseph, but forgot him.
Joseph was unjustly in jail. Despite this, the Lord greatly blessed him, to the point that he became the administrator of the jail.
Joseph remained the same, working with honesty and dedication. He continued to be faithful to the Lord with his testimony, trusting in God's sovereignty over his life. That perseverance allowed Joseph to further exercise that gift that God had given him. He not only had prophetic dreams, but also God gave him the gift of dream interpretation. Joseph cried out to God, and God showed him the meaning of the dreams of the chief baker and the chief butler. Joseph became an instrument of the Lord in the midst of his difficult situation, injustice and deprivation of his right to freedom.
This is a great example to follow. Let us be faithful to the Lord in injustices, in difficult moments. Joseph was uncomfortable and wanted to leave soon. He even begged the chief butler to intercede for him before Pharaoh when he left, but he forgot about Joseph when the dream came true, and Joseph had to spend more years in jail waiting for the Lord to fulfill his dream. Imagine seeing other people's dreams come true but not yours! That frustration and tears of despair God heard them, but Joseph had to live a few more years of confinement and was forced into jobs he had not chosen.
Don't despair. Keep serving the Lord, help others to make their dreams come true, don't damage your heart with feelings of discouragement, envy or arrogance. Don't open your heart to bitterness. Keep going patiently, with perseverance and trust in the Lord, and the time will come for your dreams to come true.
Scrutinize: Read verse 4. Notice the phrase "and Joseph served them." Using the method called VISUALIZE IT, visualize Joseph being the prison leader who, instead of abusing his position, served his peers.

Génesis 40: Persevera y sirve para que tu sueño se cumpla.
Génesis 40:6-23:
Por la mañana José vino a ellos y los vio, y he aquí que ellos estaban tristes. Preguntó a los funcionarios del faraón que estaban con él bajo custodia en la casa de su señor, diciendo: —¿Por qué hoy están tristes sus caras?
Ellos le dijeron: —Hemos tenido un sueño, y no hay quien nos lo interprete.
Entonces José les dijo: —¿Acaso no son de Dios las interpretaciones? Cuéntenmelo, por favor.
Entonces el jefe de los coperos contó su sueño a José, diciendo: —En mi sueño veía delante de mí una vid. En la vid había tres ramas. Parecía que ella brotaba, florecía y sus racimos de uvas maduraban. La copa del faraón estaba en mi mano, y yo tomaba las uvas, las exprimía en la copa del faraón y ponía la copa en la mano del faraón.
Y José le respondió: —Esta es su interpretación: Las tres ramas son tres días. Dentro de tres días el faraón te hará levantar cabeza y te restituirá a tu puesto. Volverás a poner la copa en la mano del faraón, como solías hacerlo anteriormente, cuando eras su copero. Pero cuando te vaya bien, acuérdate tú de mí. Por favor, actúa con misericordia para conmigo; haz mención de mí al faraón y hazme sacar de esta casa. Porque yo fui secuestrado de la tierra de los hebreos, y nada he hecho aquí para que me pusieran en la cárcel.
Viendo el jefe de los panaderos que la interpretación había sido favorable, dijo a José: —También yo soñaba que había tres cestas de pan blanco sobre mi cabeza. En la cesta superior había toda clase de manjares de pastelería para el faraón, pero las aves se los comían de la cesta que estaba sobre mi cabeza.
Entonces José respondió: —Esta es su interpretación: Las tres cestas son tres días. Dentro de tres días el faraón quitará tu cabeza de encima de ti. Te hará colgar en la horca, y las aves comerán tus carnes.
Y sucedió que al tercer día fue el cumpleaños del faraón, y él dio un banquete a todos sus servidores. Entonces levantó la cabeza del jefe de los coperos y la cabeza del jefe de los panaderos, en medio de sus servidores. Al jefe de los coperos lo restituyó en su cargo de copero, y este volvió a poner la copa en la mano del faraón. Pero hizo ahorcar al jefe de los panaderos, como José les había interpretado. Sin embargo, el jefe de los coperos no se acordó de José, sino que se olvidó de él.
José estaba en la cárcel injustamente. A pesar de eso, el Señor lo bendijo grandemente, al punto que llegó a ser el administrador de la cárcel.
José continuó siendo el mismo, trabajando con honestidad y dedicación. Siguió siendo fiel al Señor con su testimonio, confiando en la soberanía de Dios sobre su vida. Esa perseverancia permitió que José ejercitara más ese don que Dios le había dado. Él no solo tenía sueños proféticos, sino que también Dios le dio el don de interpretación de sueños. José clamó a Dios, y Dios le mostró el significado de los sueños del jefe de los panaderos y el jefe de los coperos. José se convirtió en un instrumento del Señor en medio de su difícil situación, en la injusticia y la privación de su derecho de libertad.
Este es un gran ejemplo a seguir. Seamos fieles al Señor en las injusticias, en los momentos difíciles. José estaba incómodo y deseaba salir pronto. Inclusive rogó al jefe de los coperos que intercediera por él ante el faraón cuando se fuera pero él se olvidó de José cuando se cumplió el sueño, y José tuvo que pasar más años en la cárcel esperando que el Señor cumpliera su sueño. ¡Imagínate ver los sueños de otros cumplirse pero no el tuyo! Esa frustración y lágrimas de desespero Dios las escuchó, pero José tuvo que vivir unos años más de encierro y sometido a la fuerza a trabajos que no había escogido.
No te desesperes. Sigue sirviendo al Señor, ayuda a otros a que sus sueños se cumplan y no dañes tu corazón con sentimientos de desánimo, envidia o arrogancia. No abras tu corazón a la amargura. Sigue adelante con paciencia, con perseverancia y confía en el Señor, y el tiempo llegará para que tus sueños se cumplan.
Escudriña: Lee el verso 4. Nota la frase "y Jose les servía". Usa el método VISUALÍZALO, visualiza a José siendo el líder de la cárcel que, en vez de abusar de su posición, servía a sus compañeros.

Genesis 40: Persevere and serve so that your dream comes true.
Genesis 40:6-23:
And Joseph came in to them in the morning and looked at them, and saw that they were sad. So he asked Pharaoh’s officers who were with him in the custody of his lord’s house, saying, “Why do you look so sad today?”
And they said to him, “We each have had a dream, and there is no interpreter of it.”
So Joseph said to them, “Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell them to me, please.”
Then the chief butler told his dream to Joseph, and said to him, “Behold, in my dream a vine was before me, and in the vine were three branches; it was as though it budded, its blossoms shot forth, and its clusters brought forth ripe grapes. Then Pharaoh’s cup was in my hand; and I took the grapes and pressed them into Pharaoh’s cup, and placed the cup in Pharaoh’s hand.”
And Joseph said to him, “This is the interpretation of it: The three branches are three days. Now within three days Pharaoh will lift up your head and restore you to your place, and you will put Pharaoh’s cup in his hand according to the former manner, when you were his butler. But remember me when it is well with you, and please show kindness to me; make mention of me to Pharaoh, and get me out of this house. For indeed I was stolen away from the land of the Hebrews; and also I have done nothing here that they should put me into the dungeon.”
When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was good, he said to Joseph, “I also was in my dream, and there were three white baskets on my head. In the uppermost basket were all kinds of baked goods for Pharaoh, and the birds ate them out of the basket on my head.”
So Joseph answered and said, “This is the interpretation of it: The three baskets are three days. Within three days Pharaoh will lift off your head from you and hang you on a tree; and the birds will eat your flesh from you.”
Now it came to pass on the third day, which was Pharaoh’s birthday, that he made a feast for all his servants; and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and of the chief baker among his servants. Then he restored the chief butler to his butlership again, and he placed the cup in Pharaoh’s hand. But he hanged the chief baker, as Joseph had interpreted to them. Yet the chief butler did not remember Joseph, but forgot him.
Joseph was unjustly in jail. Despite this, the Lord greatly blessed him, to the point that he became the administrator of the jail.
Joseph remained the same, working with honesty and dedication. He continued to be faithful to the Lord with his testimony, trusting in God's sovereignty over his life. That perseverance allowed Joseph to further exercise that gift that God had given him. He not only had prophetic dreams, but also God gave him the gift of dream interpretation. Joseph cried out to God, and God showed him the meaning of the dreams of the chief baker and the chief butler. Joseph became an instrument of the Lord in the midst of his difficult situation, injustice and deprivation of his right to freedom.
This is a great example to follow. Let us be faithful to the Lord in injustices, in difficult moments. Joseph was uncomfortable and wanted to leave soon. He even begged the chief butler to intercede for him before Pharaoh when he left, but he forgot about Joseph when the dream came true, and Joseph had to spend more years in jail waiting for the Lord to fulfill his dream. Imagine seeing other people's dreams come true but not yours! That frustration and tears of despair God heard them, but Joseph had to live a few more years of confinement and was forced into jobs he had not chosen.
Don't despair. Keep serving the Lord, help others to make their dreams come true, don't damage your heart with feelings of discouragement, envy or arrogance. Don't open your heart to bitterness. Keep going patiently, with perseverance and trust in the Lord, and the time will come for your dreams to come true.
Scrutinize: Read verse 4. Notice the phrase "and Joseph served them." Using the method called VISUALIZE IT, visualize Joseph being the prison leader who, instead of abusing his position, served his peers.
