God remembered (did he forget?)
At a time when things are the bleakest
When things may seem hopeless or where do things go
God intervenes, extending mercy where and when needed
So it was that, when God destroyed the cities of the valley, God remembered Abraham and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow when he overthrew the cities in which Lot had lived.

God took action to abate the waters
Caused a wind (rua’h) over the waters (Genesis 1:2)
Closed the Fountains
Closed the window of
It’s been a minute
40 days of rain
150 days of water flooding the earth (includes rain or no)
Mountains of Ararat (Eastern Turkey)

Sent the Raven Out - No Reason Given - Carrion Eater - high altitudes
Sent the Dove Out - Reason Given - Lower land dwelling
1st time - No place to land
2nd time - came back with a fig leaf
3rd time - just left on its merry way
Just seeing what is going on and when it is safe

The Ark is a transformer
Ground was dry
Earth dried out a month+ later
God gave the go ahead to Go Out
Told them to enter
Sealed them in
Told them to go Out
All the animals with them as well (called all flesh)

Be fruitful and multiply

Is this the first altar that we see being built
We now know why the seven pairs of clean animals
How did Noah know clean from unclean
God has to tell people what his expectations are
The LORD was Pleased with the burnt offerings
The LORD’s Covenant
The LORD’s heart - within himself
No longer curse the ground because of man (initial set still in effect)
The LORD’s knowledge of who man is
The intention of man’s heart is evil
From his youth
No longer going to strike down all living creatures
Time will continue
