When moments of rest present themselves while you are in a time of waiting, what do you do? Do you rest in that moment or pace away the moments, hoping you will start moving again and no longer in need of rest? Genesis 8 tells us about two birds Noah released to determine how much time they had left to wait for the flood waters to recede. The actions of these birds had a lot to teach us about our own nature, the choices we have while in a waiting season, and the benefit of returning and resting in safe and secure love of God.
