Humanity begins to rebuild after the great flood. Agricultural advances enable mankind to build giant cities in the fertile region of Mesopotamia (modern day Iraq) where they attempt to build giant temples that reach all the way to the heavens. In the midst of the subsequent cultural upheaval, God calls a righteous family out of the ancient city of Ur to migrate to Canaan where he will establish an everlasting covenant with the father of the Hebrew nation: Abraham.
