Summary: God not only makes a covenant with mankind with words (never to flood the earth again with water), but He gives the rainbow to be the sign to remind us of His covenant. He does the same with the “New Covenant”, that our sins will be forgiven and washed away never to be remembered by Him, and He gives us a sign to remember His promised covenant, and that is the fellowship of Communion with Him and each other.
