From Shem to Moses is roughly 1,000 years.  According to resources, Shem’s descendant Eber is the originator of the Hebrew language.  Therefore it is only logical to conclude that Hebrew did not exist before Eber. The first time the word Hebrew is mentioned in the Bible it is associated with Abraham.
