Support and accountability can look like a lot of different things for different people, different seasons of life and business, and different personalities and tendencies as well. Mandy, Nai and Nic discuss what support and accountability looks like for each of them and how they like to bring it into both business and home life.
Each share how the support they have needed and sought out in business has shifted over the years based on what's needed, possible and appropriate. Support can be about education and learning, it could be support in implementing the admin side of your business, bookkeeping, team members that you bring on, or investing in courses, coaches and mentors for personal and professional development.
Mandy shares some suggestions for getting support without paying money for it, through bartering arrangements, volunteering, pro bono options and sponsorship. Nai shares how she has asked for support from family with childcare and how that's shifted over the years as her little boy has grown up.
Nic shares how during her latest launch it became obvious to her that rather than getting more support outsourcing in business, what would feel most supportive was going out to eat and not having to worry about food preparation on a boat!
They then share a bit about each of their relationship with accountability, including a quick overview of Gretchen Rubin's Four Tendencies Framework which has to do with the different ways people feel commitment to goals and expectations set by self and others.
Finally, Mandy, Nic and Nai discuss how they review and revise their support and accountability as needed, and the wonderful types of accountability and support that they have create in the Gentle Business Mastermind.
