Continuing in our in-depth study of the Fruit of the Holy Spirit in Galatians chapter five, we focus on GENTLENESS, a spiritual fruit that demonstrates the qualities of Christ Jesus "who, though He was...God, did not consider equality with God to be something grasped but instead emptied Himself [of His divine privileges] and took upon Himself the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of humanity [&] humbled Himself to the point of death" (Philippians 2:6-8). Jesus is notable for being "GENTLE and humble in heart" (Matthew 11:29).  Therefore, we aim for this same gentleness as Christ Jesus (Philippians 2:5), taking His yoke of gentleness upon ourselves to learn from Him (Matthew 11:29a), for Jesus was very earnest when He promised that "the gentle shall inherit the earth" (Matthew 5:5).
