What The World Needs Now is… Gentleness  

But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! Galatians 5v22-23 (NLT)  

Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  Matthew 11v29 (NLT)   

1.  The gentleness of Jesus CALMS my soul.  

A gentle answer deflects anger, but harsh words make tempers flare. Proverbs 15v1 (NLT)  

If your boss is angry at you, don’t quit! A quiet spirit can overcome even great mistakes.  Ecclesiastes 10v4 (NLT)

2.  The gentleness of Jesus RESTORES my soul.  

“What blessing comes to you when gentleness lives in you! For you will inherit the earth.”  Matthew 5v5   

3.  The gentleness of Jesus PREPARES my soul for His good WORK.  

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.  Philippians 4v4-5 (NIV)  

Pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness. 1Timothy 6v11 (NLT)  

Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. Always be humble and gentle.
