The Grand Awakening Podcast

Geoff Eckart talks about the peaceful presence of God at Asbury's revival

Listen Later

Geoff Eckart lives in Grand Rapids, MI with his wife Arianna. Together they have 3 daughters. He is the lead pastor of Daybreak Church and the founder and CEO of Never The Same, a national youth ministry. He also serves as Chairman of the Executive Board of the National Day of Prayer and leads America's National Prayer Committee.

In this podcast, Geoff tells of his recent visit to Asbury University. He describes the overwhelming sense of peace he believed was flowing from the manifest presence of Christ during their time of revival there. He also remarked how amazing it was that two other revival-connected events, both of which had been previously planned long in advance of Asbury's revival, "just happened" to coincide with the move of God at Asbury! Those events are: (1) the Collegiate Day of Prayer held on February 23, but had been scheduled at least a year previous and to be held, of all places, there at Asbury; and (2) the release on February 22 of the major motion picture "Jesus Revolution" which covers a similar revival that occurred in 1970. Finally, Geoff shares his conviction that revival and spiritual awakening will indeed spread far and wide by the grace of God.
