George Reeves was an American actor, best known for portraying Superman in the television series Adventures of Superman, which ran from (1952–1958).

At the early age of 45, George Reeves died due to a gunshot wound to the head, but the events leading up to, and the circumstances of the death have been surrounded by controversy.
