No, this isn't a film about the first president. This is David Gordon Green's debut film about the miserable state of forming a self-identity in the midst of impoverished youth. It's very much not Pineapple Express, if that's the only DGG movie you've seen - but it's got remarkable bits of the Righteous Gemstones in there. Or at least I think so.
