George Weinstein is the author of numerous novels in diverse genres, including the sassy Southern mystery Aftermath, his kidnapping thriller Watch What You Say, the domestic drama about reinvention The Caretaker, the novel of forgotten US history The Five Destinies of Carlos Moreno, and his Southern Gothic historical novel Hardscrabble Road, a favorite with book clubs. The long-awaited Hardscrabble sequel, Return to Hardscrabble Road, will be published on October 11, 2022.

George speaks often at book clubs, conferences, workshops, and other events. He has been an active participant and leader within the Atlanta Writers Club since 2001 and directs the AWC’s twice-yearly Atlanta Writers Conference, twice voted the best writers conference in Georgia and receiving the most votes of any conference in The Writer magazine 2018 national poll.
