In 1895, a man by the name of Georges Polti was deep into analyzing classical Greek texts and had the epiphany that all those ancient stories could be distilled into just 36 different dramatic situations. So that's what we're talking about today, as we pick up the torch where he left off all those years ago. We'll be reading through these situations and applying them to modern-day movies to provide a basis for our own exploration of today's narratives.
